Conveying and Screening

Conveying and screening in a feed mill is essential for ensuring efficiency in handling raw materials and the quality of the final product. In the conveying stage, raw materials such as grain and nutrients are moved within the plant by elevators, chain conveyors, screw conveyors, or other means. It is crucial to minimize contamination and spoilage during this process. In the screening process, on the other hand, particles are separated to remove impurities and ensure uniform size. By using sieves or screens, a uniform mixture is achieved, which is essential for feed quality. Both processes directly affect animal health and productivity.

Cleaning Auger, CP model

Description

The cleaning auger is a machine widely used in the final cleaning of flat-bottomed silos for containing grains and granular material in general. It can be of various sizes, depending on the diameter of the silo. The characteristic combination of the rotary motion of the spiral and the rotation of the entire unit around the axis of the silo ensures the smooth flow of product to the center of the silo at the central discharge tray. DESIGNED TO COLLECT RESIDUAL PRODUCT IN FLAT-BOTTOMED SILOS. STURDY CONSTRUCTION FOR HIGH RELIABILITY AND DURABILITY. WIDE RANGE OF MODELS.

Bucket Elevator, ET model

Description

The bucket elevator has a drive head and a press-formed idle head with reinforcement profiles and wear plates. The pulleys are made from aluminum and the C40 axles are mounted on special bearings. There is a double-screw tensioner on the return head. The ducts are made from pressed and welded steel plate with a rectangular section. One or more intermediate elements are equipped with a small working hatch and an inspection window. The belt is made from antistatic oil-resistant rubberized canvas and is suitable for holding the buckets. Control motor with axial gearmotor equipped with fastening sleeve and reaction arm. All our elevators are also equipped with belt control systems and rotation sensors for rotation control.

Drum Cleaner, PT model

Description

Machine constructed entirely of press-formed galvanized sheet metal specifically for pre-cleaning and cleaning grain. The product is gravity-fed into the internal cylindrical body, where it goes through 4 screening stages consisting of 4 perforated sheet metal shells having different diameter perforations selected according to the product to be processed. The use of the drum cleaner guarantees the removal of both bulkier foreign bodies and finer waste such as dust and other impurities. It can be combined with a winnow pre-cleaner that improves and increases its production capacity.

Oscillating Separator, SO model

Description

The oscillating separator is a machine used to remove foreign bodies of different sizes from a flow of product. The machine consists of a fixed frame made of 3mm-thick press-formed sheet steel and a freely oscillating metal tank suspended from the structure by means of articulated joints. The product to be screened is placed inside the tank, which has two levels of sieves. The upper sieve separates the product from large impurities, while the lower sieve removes small impurities. The sieve frames are made with a self-cleaning system with rubber balls, and they can be easily removed and replaced. The flow of product inside the tank is provided by a pulley/flywheel transmission with belts driven by an electric motor that causes a slight oscillation. The machine is combined with a winnow with inclined and adjustable planes to achieve further removal of light impurities in the product. On the upper part of the latter there is a flange for the possible connection of a suction/filter unit as well as a Plexiglas window that allows checking of the flow and cleanliness of the product at any time.

Rotary Separator, SR model

Description

The rotary separator is a machine used to remove small foreign bodies from a mass of granular product being processed. The machine consists of a cylindrical-shaped tank made from 3mm-thick cut and press-formed sheet steel and a rotating surface to which the sieve is applied, which uses the principle of centrifugal force to separate the product from impurities. The product is placed inside the tank, where the rotating sieve plate is located. It is rotated by the direct transmission of a gearmotor with a power rating of 2.2/3.0 kW. A diffuser cone provides even distribution over the entire surface. The machine is supported by four legs, which can be made at different heights as needed. A clean product discharge point and up to four waste discharge points can be provided. There is a cover on the top of the machine to allow for maintenance and sieve replacement operations, and a Plexiglas window allows checking of the flow and cleanliness of the product at any time.

Vibrating screen, SV model

Description

The vibrating screen consists of an external thick tubular metal structure, which supports the separation chamber by means of vibration-damping components. The separation chamber consists of a series of bolted press-formed plates that form the product collection basin, protected at the top by covers. Contained inside the chamber are spring steel meshes (1, 2 or 3 stages), the characteristics of which vary according to the product to be processed. The vibrating screen has two motor vibrators of different sizes depending on the model. The special fastening system allows adjustment of the tilt of the motovibrators, and consequently also allows adjustment of the amplitude and direction of the oscillation. USED IN THE PRE-CLEANING AND CLEANING OF GRAINS, GRANULAR AND FLAKED FEED.

GREAT VERSATILITY:

  • MULTIPLE ADJUSTMENTS FOR BOTH THE INCLINED PLANES AND THE MOTOVIBRATORS
  • QUICK CHANGE SYSTEM FOR THE SPRING HARMONIC STEEL MESHES

Chain Conveyor, TC model

Description

The chain conveyor is made of steel with flanged sides and interchangeable sheet metal bottoms. The drive head and return head are made of bolted steel elements. The return head is fitted with screw tensioners with sliding brackets. The sprockets are mounted on C40 axles and cast iron supports.

Screw Conveyor, CS model

Description

The cylindrical screw conveyor is built using sections of tubes, inside of which there is a shaft with a helical screw blade welded to it, supported at the heads with flange supports with cast iron body and bearings. Depending on its length, it can be provided with central supports with wear-resistant PF-CC-22 bushings that serve as supports and for centering. At each support there is a hatch for inspection when the screw is stopped. With this type of screw, it can be used at any angle (it can also be used in a vertical position).

Channel Conveyor, TS model

Description

The channel conveyor consists of a semicircular case made of press-formed sheet metal with a reinforced upper edge and an shaft, to which the helical screw is welded, supported at the heads with flange supports with cast iron body and bearings. Depending on its length, it can be provided with central supports with wear-resistant PF-CC-22 bushings that serve as supports and for centering. A cover is bolted to the edge along the entire length of the channel screw.

Extraction Auger, EC model

Description

The extraction auger is applied downstream of hoppers, containers, silos, etc. for product extraction. It is made with an inlet conduit that acts as a link between the container from which the product is taken and the auger itself. Each conduit has an inspection hatch. Generally the capacities needed in the processing cycles require sizes of Ø150, Ø170 and Ø200. For special applications, larger diameters are possible.
