Supplement Dosing

Supplement dosing in a feed mill is important for providing animals with the necessary nutrients. In needs assessment, one determines the nutritional needs of animals based on species, age, and goals. In choosing supplements, the nutrients to be added are selected, such as vitamins and minerals. Automated systems measure and weigh the supplements to ensure the proper dosage. The supplements are blended with raw materials during mixing to obtain a uniform feed. Lastly, checks are made to ensure that the dosage is correct and the product is safe. This process is critical for animal health and productivity.

Micro-Dosing System

Description

The micro-dosing system is used to add small amounts of ingredients or additives in an extremely precisely manner during feed production. This type of system is designed to measure doses with great accuracy, which is especially important when adding nutrients or additives in small quantities. It is fully automated, which reduces the risk of errors and increases production process efficiency. The system’s versatility allows it to handle various types of ingredients, such as powders and liquids, making feed formulation easy. It is also equipped with quality control systems that ensure that each dosage is correct, helping to maintain the high quality of the final product. The system’s structure consists of a variable number of polygonal cells grouped in a circular shape, each with a capacity of 80 liters and covered with a lid, and made from AISI304 stainless steel. The cells are equipped with a motorized bottom extractor that discharges products directly into the scale, which also made from stainless steel and equipped with high-precision load cells. The entire structure is firmly anchored to a frame, providing stability throughout the production process. This structure also includes a gallery at the side for loading of the cells and inspection of all components. Upon request the cells can be equipped with lump breakers for products that risk becoming compacted. A standard feature is the remote-controlled electromagnetic safety system, which allows the opening of the lid of the cell prepared for the containment of a specific product only by matching the bar code on the bag of the product. This innovative feature makes it possible to avoid errors when filling individual cells.
